hi im a 23 yr old male i live in NY. back in 2006 i moved to florida and it didnt work out, a year after i moved i was evicted from my apt and i drove back home to NY with a car i was financing from a buy here pay here dealership in florida. i couldnt afford the payments on it and they hired somebody here to reposses it.

my question is how does this eviction affect my credit? becuase i moved to a diff state can it still look bad? can they still make a judement against me althought i moved out of state?

and my car repossession…i havnt recieved a notice in almost a year about money that i owe, do i still owe this money? can they make a judgment against me even though i moved out of state?

i have a wonderful gf and i have never told her about this. i would like to marry her someday and im afraid that my credit will not allow me to buy a house and all that good stuff that married people do? does anybody out there have advice???

My boyfriend’s father owns a car repossession business and it’s family ran. My boyfriend’s sister’s do the office work why the men go out and get the cars etc. Well I joined in on it 3 months ago and I really like it even though it’s dangerous at times. Last night we repo two 2007 H3 Hummers and a 2008 Lexus ES-350. We usually go for the more expensive cars but also go for the cheaper cars when needed. When we repo a car we have one person to get the car and 3 others for back up just in case of any problems. So last night here I was getting ready to get this hummer out of a drive way when this dude came out of the house with a baseball bat and hit me with it and when he did that my boyfriend came running over and snatched it from him and kept pushing him away so I could get into the hummer. I got into it and started driving away and I noticed it wasn’t any brakes working and this scared the heck out of me but I drove it 10 blocks away really slow (like we always do then tow it to our storage lot) and I had to use the emergency brake to stop it. When to guy hit me with the bat my boyfriend came running like someone was killing me and snatched that bat hell of fast. I want to do something speacial for him tonight. Anyone got any good ideas?

  • My Brother’s GF is trying to hide her car from repossession agent, how stupid is that?

She can’t afford it anymore, I have a car for her to use so she will not be without transportation. HOWEVER, she wants to continue driving her car as long as possible. Her car is not registered to her address (she moved out of state since she purchased it) and all of her corrospondance goes back to her old address (her sister’s house). Her lienholder literally has no clue where she is. This ticks me off. I told her to just turn the thing in, as they will find her soon enough and it looks better. Her response is to make them work for it. Honestly, how long can she drag this crap out? Can it effect her sister (she uses her sisters house as a home address) in any way? This girl just makes me SO MAD!!! I tried telling my brother that her antics will effect hem ever being able to buy a home, and that employers often run credit reports on job applicants!!! How long can she keep this up??!!

I only know the basics of this because I get contacted by the collector! My daughter & husband are about 3-4 payments behind on 2 cars through Honda Finance. We offered my daughter the money to catch up on the lesser car payment & for them to turn back the other car (i think one car is $550 and the other is $250/mth) & give her another $1000 to buy a used cheap car. She refused our offer & is trying to come up with (I will guess) $2400+ & then, they think, be caught up. We are getting calls from an investigator (I will guess a repo place) asking about my daughter. We finally have stopped answering the phone. Today, someone came to our house (my daughter lives in another state) & gave some stupid excuse looking for her. Based on past phone calls, we knew better. Can the creditor keep bothering us – hoping my daughter will be here one day. I already know my daughter is dumb and I shouldnt have to put up with this, but can the collection company keep doing this to us?
I am not a co-signer. We don’t see my daughter. My daughter is in possession of the cars, not me. They identified themselves as “independent party, trying to get ‘my daughter’ to sign a petition for a * court judge”. I am a paralegal in this county – I know all judges running for office. When I asked to see the petition, they said “NO”, got in their cars and left. When I tried to get their license plate no. they pulled out of my driveway real fast. I know what my daughter is doing is wrong – I have offered our help – she refused … do I have to be continued to be harassed from the collection/repo companies?
